Will is the congregation minister at St Martin’s. He is married to Rachael with two children. They lived in Manchester for 6 years before moving South to Stockport! He prepared for ordination at St Mellitus College North West and has previously studied at Oak Hill Theological College. He is most likely to be found cajoling his family to enjoy a walk in the countryside, training for parkrun, or practicing guitar in the vain hope that the St Martin’s band will allow him to play.
Richard is the Assistant Minister at St Martin's, and has been here since finishing his curacy at a church in South Manchester in 2021. He is also a part-time Maths teacher; his wife, Emma, is a part-time GP; and their four children are full-time energy! His happy places are detective stories, board games (invite yourself over for one!) and a day alone in the Peaks with no phone.
Gail takes care of all our children and youth here at St Martin's. She's married to Joe and has two children. She's passionate about teaching the good news of Jesus to every age, and loves finding creative ways of engaging with our children at church. You'll find her hanging out with her good friend Geoffrey the puppet on Mondays at our Little Lights group!
Bethan is the administrator at St. Martin's, and has lived in Heaton Norris for 9 years with her husband Sean. In her spare time, you can find Bethan at her sewing machine, or exploring local parks with her children and two sausage dogs!
Tom is one of 2 wardens at St Martin's. He's lived in the Heatons since he was born, and now works as a chartered surveyor at a Manchester based firm. He's passionate about cooking, especially when it involves making pizza or firing up the BBQ. He lives locally to church with his wife Katy and their 2 children.
Oli Hatley is one of 2 wardens at St Martin's. He lives with his wife Alma and their 3 children.
St Martin's is served by 10 PCC members as well as our 2 wardens Tom Shepherd and Oliver Hatley. They are Sue Alting, Marion Baird, Jamie Barrow, Jess Bradshaw, Tim Bull, Kate Butt, Joe Hobbs, Sarah Prescott, Anna Sant & David Warburton. Anna, David and Tim are also our representatives for the Deanery Synod.
